Artifact 1 Getting to Know ISTE

Getting to Know ISTE

Only those with a joliet86.org web address will be able to view this folder.

This is a link to my Getting to Know ISTE folders.  This was my first attempt to dig into the ISTE standards for students in a meaningful way.  There is a profound value in these standards.  Even though I still can't recall the acronym from memory.  ISTE stands for International Society for Technology in Education.

Reviewing the standards and doing a deep dig sets a foundation for teaching and learning with technology.  ISTE is a nonprofit and has more than 100,000 education stakeholders.

The design of this lesson was very powerful for me.  I plan on utilizing Google Drive with folders for group projects with my students.  A trusting environment will be important, as learners may feel vulnerable being able to view each other's work and comments from teachers.

Visit the ISTE site.
The conference is in Chicago June 24-27.  I'm keeping hope alive!

I can't believe how nervous and excited I was submitting this project at 1:42 a.m. on September 24, 2017.  My birthday was the next day.

I got so excited doing this project that I need to modify my lesson plans for this week. I'm really nervous about submitting digitally. I know that seems silly.
